8月 03, 2013于三月，和一大群朋友到了本头公巷作采访。原要拜访郭应就牌匾的第二代接班人，不过他因去弄些文件，再加上他也没有任何的订购，所以只好取消这念头，到陈先生那儿了。
During last March, I went to have some interviews for my project assignments at the heritage area. We planned to go to Kok Ying Chow Signboard Maker for interview but for some reasons we change our interviewee and we straight go to Mr Tan Nyonya Shoes there for interview.
Well then, have you watch The Little Nyonya starring Jeannette Aw, the famous Singaporean Actress? This is one of the famous TV show. As you know, Nyonyas making this shoes need patience. One of the example is Mr Tan. He is a nice man. When we needed him for our interview, he rushed to his workshop and start for our interview.
这部戏让我们学到各种逐渐在马来西亚的一群娘惹。这绣珠鞋是种美丽的文化。在槟城，大多能看到绣珠鞋的师傅只有在南华医院街，一个就是本头公巷。
From this nice show, I learned lots of things and this is going to lost and Nyonya Beaded Shoes is one of the culture in Penang. In Penang, there are not more Nyonya Shoes Maker here. One is at Muntri Street and Armenian Street.
陈先生的工作室。他声称，他在这儿（奔头公巷）工作有十三年了。今年正迈入退休的年龄，可他身体还蛮健康，还会和我们谈话！
This is the picture of his workshop at Armenian Street. He mentioned that he had worked here for 13 years and he's going to a retire age, but he's still nice to talk!
陈先生正在把皮革弄滑。他说皮革在制鞋是第一个不可少的步骤。若要穿的舒适，就得看师傅的巧手咯！看陈先生坐在机器前面刷刷一下，成果就出炉了！实在是太厉害了！
Mr Tan is making the leather in a smooth surface. If you want to wear it comfortably, then you must see how great the maker is. Mr Tan sat at the machine and puts the leather into a machine, after some minutes finally done! How superb Mr Tan is.
陈先生坐在这古老的裁缝机前面，开始工作。好奇心特别强的我，问了这裁缝机的岁数。不瞒告诉你， 他大约有六十年的历史了。这是陈先生表姐的，现在表姐不在了，他拿来使用。
Mr Tan sat at the sewing machine and started to work. So then, I asked about how's the age of the sewing machine and it is about 60 years of age. This belongs to Mr Tan's cousin.
陈先生为我们示范绣珠的种类，他现在手上拿着的是其中一种的绣珠是采用小颗的珠子。
Mr Tan is showing some examples of the beads that needed to sew on the shoes. He's holding one type of beads and this uses small beads ones.
这些胶水对鞋子来说很重要。胶水的品质很重要。
These types of glue are important as they need to glue at the shoes.
This is one of the important material needed in the shoe and to stabilize the shoes. It is a high-graded material too.
Mr Tan puts this kind of ornaments on his wall and he said that these attracted a lot of visitors to buy and now It lasts for only one and he keeps for himself.
